A lot of this is about strategic choices however and it might be fair to blame Intel for the choices they are making.

Although personally I don’t really see the problem. Intel doesn’t have to be successful . We don’t need Intel . I am totally fine with them going down. Let nature plays its game: survival of the fittest.

Intel has in my view held back the industry with their massive success. We could have had richer variation of more modern architectures dominating computing if Intel had not been so successful. So I don’t see why we should be upset about an Intel screwup. It should be cause for celebration.
