Agree, this is a big deal. What SpaceX is doing is very hard and if you actually read space history the list of failures is pretty long. This seems largely unknown to the public, as the reaction to the relatively few serious failures by SpaceX is treated as if SpaceX has no idea of what they are doing by many or that they are incompetent.

I can’t remember who said this, but somebody said “If you aren’t making any mistakes, then you aren’t learning anything.” As a European I think one of the things we can learn from America is the attitude that failure isn’t something to be ashamed of. It meant that you tried. Anybody can avoid failure by never doing anything.
