Ah yeah that is not nice to do. It can be so hard to keep kids off certain kinds of bad food if friends or relatives sabotage you buy introducing them to all sorts fo candy and junk food. We saved ourselves a lot of trouble by our oldest son not knowing what chocoloate and icecream was until he was 3-4 years old.

Geez they served you cow brains without saying what it was? That is really mean.

Hospitality sort of has a dark side. It is nice to be included, but an invitation also presents an obligation. It is hard to say no, even when you don't want to.

Hence, I think it is worth always considering whether the person you offer something really wants it or will appriciate it. Not imposing something on others is important to us.
