I don’t need to like Elon Musk to recognize his achievements. I am honestly a bit indifferent to Musk as a person. He has good and bad sides.

The problems are all those people who can only see Elon Musk as some kind or archetype of what they hate or love. They don’t see a person but a manifestation of things they admire or hate.
