Are not every chiplet part of the same manufacturing process? Are you saying that one factory could crank out one type of physical chiplets which are then integrated with other chiplets from another factory in another location? Akin to some sort of advanced surface mounted devices (SMDs)?

Are there any concrete examples of this being done? I thought AMD chiplets are all made in one an the same process in the the same factory.
