Come on you are trying to spin this. I have watched EVs completely take over the market here in Norway the last decades.

People all around me have been driving EVs for many years with minimal problems. Why do you think nobody who get an EV ever want to switch back?

Sure the news has reported on recalls, but you try to give the impression that EVs are this major hassle. They are not. Most people drive their EVs year after year without problems.

The "supply of materials" of materials is not a real problem. That applies to all new industries. You cannot ramp up production of materials until there is actually demand for those materials.

What mining company or battery maker would start massively expanding production and then cross their fingers that somebody is going to make a bunch of EVs down the line? Nope, that is not how markets work.

First end users buy stuff, which causes increase demand down the value chain which pushes up prices and creates a powerful incentive for mining companies and battery makers to expand.

As EV volumes expand, this will be a gold mine and the mining corporations will be running like crazy to catch some of that profits. I already know people busy going around prospecting to sell rights to mining croporations. There is a demand now for new areas to setup mines. And lots of people see opportunities.
