Correct me if I am wrong but will it not be easier to get higher mass flow with kerosene because the fuel is denser. And mass flow has significant impact on thrust. With denser fuel you can also fit in more fuel in a five area. Thus on take off when you are ant to just push out lots of mass per second, I would have assumed that kerosene gives many advantages. But of course it give less ISP and present many other problems.
