Doesn't necessarily need to be transformed, but if Elon Musk cannot make some kind of transformational change either on the technology or business front, then there is no way he is getting is money back. Nor do I think Twitter will survive with the direction he is taking it.

By "survive" I don't mean that it will collapse but more like Tumblr or MySpace... just fading into the background.
