Ellen, I am really wondering if I need to change something about this article as so many see to think I am advocating AGAINST social democracy.

What is making people believe that?

Was I not clear that I am a proponent of social democracy and aimed to show why the claim American capitalism is superior in terms of economic growth does not hold water?

Also unless that was unclear, I am a Norwegian living in Norway and have no desire to move to the US. I did live in the US about 20 years ago and that was much of the reason why I became an advocat of social democracy. I was a firm believer in capitalism until I came to the US and saw how broken it was.
