Great story! And hopefully a reminder to parents who think raising children through the use of physical punishment is a very very bad idea.

Children model your behavior as a parent. If you have to punish a child, try thinking about what it teachers your child about how to react to those he has a disagreement with on the playground or in school.

And keep in mind that while George overcame his bully and became a success that is not reason to point fingers at people who failed to do so. We hear about stories like George because they are exceptional and inspirational. We don't hear as many stories about all the people who got their life permantly ruined because of bullies.

Celebrate those who overcome the hardship and show compassion towards those who have not.
