Great writing Marina! As someone who also likes to write about SpaceX I must say you really captured the essenence and the feelings a lot of us have around this thing: Is it really going to be real this time?

I was born in 1978 and grew up on a diet of popular science magazines telling me how we where going to live in orbiting space stations, O'Neil Cylinders, moon bases and on Mars beyound 2000, and then.... nothing... Nothing happened.

Instead of this amazing space future I got promised I got shitty apps like Instagram and Twitter where the innovation is that I could not write more than 120 characters.... really!!!!? That is what we got after an age of discovering nuclear power and space travel!

Elon Musk picked up on the feelings of my generation who had turned all cynical and decided to do something about it. He is certainly a flawed man in very possible way, but I am reminded that almost every great innovator in history was. You cannot be a normal chill dude and make stuff like this happen.
