Hahaha well it was a good one, I'll give you that. You just got so elaborate about it, that it was kind of like I couldn't tell if you you where really taking the piss out of it, or dead serious.

I used to really search and search for the perfect language. For me I don't think it is one. More like a triplet, double or something. I really like Julia. I don't feel I really miss anything with it.

Of course there are some things it is not as suited for. I do like to occassionally dabble in more machine oriented stuff. Microcontrollers etc. I am thinking Zig, might be the language for me, for that.

Then there is assembly. I think that is cool to dable in ocassionally too, and RISC-V really looks like the one for me. I got started on Motorola 68000 Assembly on the Amiga and everything after that felt kind of like crap.

The problem today seems more about having the tools and libraries you want/need for your language of choice. I still kind of feel GUI program is an unsolved problem. I have used so many GUI toolkits over the years but last time I was actively coding GUIs I was really wondering why the hell it has to be so complex to do simple stuff.

I was actually pretty happy with old-school Cocoa programming on the Mac. But today with constraints, dealing with all sorts of resolutions, Swift etc, it has all gotten so damn complicated.

What languages do you prefer then at the moment while you are waiting for that perfect one to pop up? And what do you like about them?
