Hehehe absolutely. I am a big Jared Diamond fan. Ironically it was Adam Smith's wealth of Nations which got me into this thinking of geography first. And that is a rather old book (1776).

Later I would emphasize Terje Tvedt at the university of Oslo and Bergen which has written amazing stuff on water usage, water transportation in different civilizations which complements Jared Diamond very well.
