Hehehe I was actually one of those Norwegian ready to flock to America once upon a time. I was in awe by the scale of everything in America. The big houses, cars, roads, tall buildings. The big living.

Sure a very materialistic mindset, but I was young and ignorant if that is an excuse.

And certainly I still envy the large selection of climates you can pick from in the US. The large selection in stores.

I still love visiting the US as a tourist, but I don't think I could live there. Maybe for a couple of years. Always wanted to live in a sunny place in Calefornia, for maybe a year or something. Just want one year of my life without the cold and dark winter.

If you stay abroad too long you loose your health care rights and all the good stuff about being a citizen of Norway. You have to basically re-immigrate to Norway.
