Hehehe maybe my next story should be "Objectivity underrated" ;-)
I think you can look at this from both angles and be right. What I am talking about in this article is stuff which by nature are highly subjective.
Is one programming language better than another? There is not really an objective truth to that. Are Macs better than PCs? Again no objective truth. Instead people can make well articulated arguments for either position and the reader will have to make up their mind themselves.
Many things are simply a question of values and preferences, and it is unreasonable to demand an objective truth about something that constitutes value judgement.
On the other hand one could equally write an article about Objectivity underrated when one considers the madness of the Trump presidency with hillarious statements such as "alternative facts" and where anything disagreeing with the point of view of the administration of labeled "fake news." Or when creationists insist "teach the controversy."
But questions such as hold old is the earth, or is the climate getting hotter is very different from questions such as what is the best political and economic system or how should a justice system operate, what makes a good programming language.
