How about we talk of Europe, Africa and Asia? That we refer to areas of the world by their geographic location rather than the skin color of their citizens.
Slavery has existed all over the world since ancient times. So attempting to single out "white" countries just displays a negative anti-white bias.
Notice how this article is not a criticism of people with brown skin color. This story is criticism of a particular culture. But you seem to want to turn this into a debate about race.
You trivialize the horrors of Saudi Arabia. Byron George was lucky as a westerner. Indians and others from poor parts of the world also "know what they get into with full disclosure."
According to your logic that means we should ignore their plight. We should ignore how they get beaten, raped and abused in Saudi Arabia with little recourse. So why do they do it? Because poor people are willing to take that risk for better pay.
To suggest that Saudi Arabia is somehow better or more transparent than the US or Europe is just completely delusional. It is an oppressive dictatorship, which kind of by definition means there is no transparency. You get raped there and you riske getting thrown in prison yourself.
