The numbers they give is that the M1 has a 120mm² die. In contrast Intel Core i9 is about 200mmm²
Gievn the low watt usage of the M1, that tells me there is a LOT of room to expand with the current design. Maybe I am missing something, but I'd like to hear a compelling counter argument to this.
Btw I don't know what you mean by an 16B xtor. Could you clarify?
