I cannot get angry at Whoopie Goldberg in particular, but the ideas she is pushing that racism is only about something white people do to people of color is gaining ground. There is an ongoing attempt in America to rewrite the history of racism and define history strictly in terms of what white people do to others.

This American push to define racism in terms of a hierarchy of whites at the tops, deprives many white people of any claim to being subject to racism. It means Jews cannot claim to be subject to racism. It means Sami people in Norway cannot claim to be subject to racism. It means Slavic people persecuted by Nazis were not victims of racism.

The Irish also have to rewrite their history books, because America has decided they treatment they received at the hands of British colonialists had nothing to do with racism. Sure somebody can claim it was just about religion, in which case I guess we can use the argument of Islamophobes that the widespread hatred of muslims is simply dislike of Islam and racism plays no role.

Btw, while I strongly agree with a lot of what you write, I fail to grasp you take in Richard Dawkins.

Clearly Dawkins is mocking the "both sides" rethoric. I cannot see how you interpret that as hateful towards Jews.

I don't get why hating on Richard Dawkins has become such a fashionable thing. He is is a champion of human rights, reason, free speech. Everything Nazis are against.
