I dunno, maybe this feels good but I would rather see cops held accountable for shooting and beating up black people. Lying under oath to get people arrested.

Yes racist remarks suck, but people often seem to make this it an equal problem to the fact that more African-Americans are put in prison than in college, and that violence by cops against African Americans is excessive.

I have never felt great about feeling joy about something getting physically injured. It reminds me too much of American Hollywood movies which indulge in too much revenge fantasies. If as a society one teaches that the bad guys deserve a whupping then that is also the message the bad guys are going to pick up. Keep in mind a lot of those cops beating up innocents, see themselves as the good guys. They see themselves as dishing out violence that they see as deserved.

And killing and old guy for racist remarks. There should be no contemplation about whether that was deserved or not. Lots of old people say stupid and offensive stuff. It could have been your grandmother or your grandfather. Not all old people are at their best in old age. Tell them to F*ck off, don't punch their lights out.

Do I feel bad for the cop? No, not really, but I still think it is wrong in principle. I would have been happier if he had been kicked of the force years ago. It should require street justice to get justice. Hold cops accountable.
