I guess every language has certain sweet spots. But if you get good performance from Go without being very experienced in Go, I think that speaks quite well of the language. In particular in terms of what they are trying to achieve with it. They wanted Go to be a language that works for large teams with many junior developers.

It should be easy to do the right thing in Go even for inexperienced developers.
