I have actually played with it. But I could not really see why I would use it over say Swift. It is kind of a high level statically typed language with reference counting which is basically the same as Swift. I could see the appeal if you are not into Apple stuff but I happen to be quite a fan of Apple stuff.

Also I am not a huge fan of significant white space. I prefer syntax akin to Lua and Julia. Less special symbols. But I still like explicitly marking scope.

Having said that, I did find Nim to look very nice. It just did not stand out enough relative to my other options. I prefer Julia first. Second choice is probably Go or Swift. For really low level stuff I am inclined toward Zig. Or maybe even Terra. Still not sure.
