I see Rust as a more specialist language for when you got experience developers and really performance or resource sensitive applications. Go covers a much broader set of projects I think. You can train developers quickly. It is easy to use, fast turnaround with fast compilation.

For most types of development, garbage collection is a big win making your life easier.
