Parents in Scandianvia would not like that you are feeding their kids junk food on a regular basis, nor would your kids be happy that their friend got nice food while they have to eat boring food.
I don't get what "problem" people are desperately trying to solve here. Kids are not starving in Scandinavia, nor are they offended that they don't join the family dinner. In fact they are usually happy they are not. Sitting around a family table as a kid feel pretty awkward to most Scandinavian kids. We are kind of a socially awkward bunch.
The people offended are foreigners. But that is not necessarily our problem. When in Rome, do as the Romans. We Scandianvians are offended by a lot of things we experience abroad as well but we accept that culture are different and that people interpret things different from us.
