I was trying to relay my experience with conservatives while living in the US. It was a reach out, as I generally don't say very many nice things about conservatives.

And as I mentioned, my experience is heavily colored by Mormons, which are known to be industrious and hard working.

I am sure reality will be different among many other groups of conservatives.

I don't think conservatism is good, but I think it is very hard to get conservatives to listen to you and change, if all they hear is complaints about how immoral and bad they are.

And we got to be able to distinguish conservatism as a political ideology from people in your everyday life. Many peple will have friends and family who are conservatives and locking them out of your life isn't eactly and option. It is not an issue for me, as Norway is not very conservative. But I know this is a reality for very many Americans. Especially many young American liberals who struggle with their ideological differences with parents and grandparents.
