If I understood you correctly, you interpret me as being of the opinion that SMRs should be ignored. No, I am very much in favor of developing the technology and would have liked to see regulation changed to better facilitate them.

However I suspect that it is up in the air what technology will be victiorous in 10 years. It could be some kind of battery technology, metal burning, green hydrogen, algae based biofuel, thermal energy storage or whatever. But I think we need to go broad and explore many options. SMRs should just be one of many options.

But whatever option we go for it should IMHO work well with renewables as that will be a dominant form of power at least in the West in the next 10 years.
