Indeed Indie has gone off the far end. I liked him a lot too, but now he his shtick seems to be to always take the opposite view of whatever view is held in the West regardless of whether it is a good or bad one. Being anti-Western seems to be more important than being objective or balanced.

Hence Indie arrives at the absurd notion that democracy is bad because it is something the West is known to champion.

The fact that American democracy is flawed doesn’t mean Western democracy is bad in general. Many western democracies work quite well.
