It is polarized in many places because women's right have so far to go. Men's rights activism is often in the English speaking world trying to derail the advancement of women's rights.

Or just look at South Korea. It is not very far developed on women's rights. Yet men there are becoming straight out hysterical and aggressive.

What I think is that it is not the actual level of equality that matters. Men are not pushing back against the actual level of equality but against rate of change. They react very negatively because they are not ready for a change where they have give up on their traditionalist thinking.

For those societies such as Scandinavia where this whole process has been ongoing for much longer and in a more gradual fashion it is less of an issue for us men to adapt as we are already mentally close to this thinking. We are not as stuck in the old patriarchal ways to the same degree. The outcome is we are happier than men elsewhere. We don't feel the treat and paranoia of men in more patriarchal societies.

A small comment on suicide. It has always been like that. That is not really a new development. And the rise in suicide is primarily an American phenomenon. There you have to look a economic inequality, opioid crisis and other drugs crisis. Feminism is not the cause.
