Jane Austin isn't science. The point I made here is that women dress up both for their own sake and to attract men. Point is that dressing up is not a clear indication that a woman is trying to attract a man. She may simply enjoy it.
Yes, this is normal. Women in all cultures at all times have dressed to look pretty. But you could say your comment is "normal". Men have always at all times condemned women for their behavior. In a way you are simply playing your allotted role in the game of life.
Evolution did not make men and women to be in perfect harmony. We are in a competitive situation. Men will love a women dressing sexy as long as she is interested in him. If not she is immediately disparaged as a whore.
Either way it is better to dress like a "prostitute" than engage in pub brawls. Women get disparaged for behavior that doesn't actually hurt anyone, unlike men who are more prone to activities that hurt other people.
