Not controversial among Trumpists. The same group where it is not controversial to claim global warming is a hoax made up by China, COVID19 is a democrat hoax, and the “deep state” is in charge.

That a fascist friendly administration decorates anti-fascists terrorists is not exactly surprising. When my home country was occupied by the Nazis they also called our resistance fighter terrorists. “Terrorist” is a label abused by pretty much every totalitarian state you can find.

Despite the fact that often it is the state itself which is the terrorist. Trump sends in military forces to terrorize protesters.

I would say the government attacking journalists is a far more serious problem than some property damage as this goes at the heart o fm what makes a country a democracy. The US is slowly sliding into an autocracy.
