Oh I know, I was a diehard Amiga user for many years. Very reluctantly moved over the PC. My first computer was an Amiga 1000, which I shared with my twin brother.

Absolutely amazing system. I was just recently ranting to a friend about what an amazing system that was to get introduced to programming and computer hardware.

Began with Amiga Basic and then did some 68000 assembly. I seem to remember to have programmed the Cooper chip to do some effect with the video beam.

Hardware is so much more complex now. So many layers of abstraction. It was fun back then to be able to just write to specific areas of memory directly and make stuff happen.
