On a positive note, if this was his thinking he would already be nuking us. Putin still has a lot more to lose. He still has Russia safely under control. He still has loyalty.

But if it reaches a point where we are suddenly invading Russia after having crushed most of his army, we may very well get to this point. At the moment he is not afraid of getting arrested or deposed. That is a good thing.

We have to consider giving Putin a way out of this mess. Leaders losing face are dangerous leaders.
