Regarding who will win in the future. I think you understood my argument in reverse: My point is that there is no gurantee that Intel will keep the edge in the future.

Those clear and inherent advantages they used to have is no longer true. You can even see that in how AMD beat Intel.

If AMD could beat Intel then surely a whole horde of ARM makers should have the theoretical possiblity of doing so.

My arguments isn't so much that Intel is doomed to fail but that they are no destned to win as so many seem to think. Over the years I have seen a lot of fanboys insist that x86 has some kind of inherent performance advantage that Arm can never touch.

That is just nonsesene. Of course Arm has the potential to upend Intel.
