RISC and CISC rivalery for dominance is much older than PS4 and PS5. If you had been around in the 90s you would have known how RISC Workstations looked poised to destroy Intel and how PowerPC Macs was giving x86 PCs are real run for the money.

Of course Intel came victories out of that battle. Many people seem to think history will repeat itself. But you determine whether history will repeat itself or no, you have to actually understand that that history was.

It explains why Intel won in the 90s, but why it will be very diffrent today. The things that made Intel capable of winning then are simply no longer true.
