Thanks for letting he feedback! I don’t live as typical Scandinavian myself presently so it is good to have other Scandinavians who can confirm and complement what I wrote. Can I quote you on what you wrote about asking kids when you got something special to offer?
I think that was a very valid point and something I believe is true for us as well. We are more likely to ask if they want food if it is something nice they might like.
I think it helps get across that the Scandinavian practice is. It out of some mean selfish thinking where we don’t care about other children. But the underlying assumption of many seems to be that there are always all these starving children around which need to be fed. I don’t think Scandinavians think that way simply because that is a rare problem in any Scandinavian country.
