Thanks, it was a Norwegianism that snuck in. We use the expression "daukjøtt" which literally translates to "dead meat."

It means excess flesh or meat on the body in Norwegian, which is why we can use it that way. But yeah, I know the word "meat" cannot really be used that way in English.
