Thanks that is a great endorsement, as I never studied under him an just had to make my interpretation of the paper he wrote and what I have come to learn over the years.

What I found interesting about his 1980s paper is that it said nothing about fixed length instructions, load/store architectures etc associated with RISC. Instead it is mainly about a philosophical approach to CPU design. It is fascinating to me how much of his thinking in 1980 is reflected in the design of RISC-V.
