That was a bunch of sour grapes Dick. You got to dial down you paternalistic tone a bit. I can come right back at you, that you have not grasped anything of what I argue against.
I have made it clear repeatedly that I don't consider Java to be bad. My examples are simply away to reject a lot of the common Java developer criticsim of Go or other languages which are less mainstream than Java.
You repeatedly seem to think I am suggesting Java is a bad way to build large applications. No, I have repeatedly acknowledge that Java has a rich eco-system with lots of great tools. And for an experienced developer like you, that allows you to build great solutions.
I am simply trying to point out that other languages have other strengths and have equal potential to Java. When you got a dominating platform, it is a natural point of criticism. Whether that is a political, economic system, a technology or whatever.
I think you are taking criticism of a technolgy a bit too personal and getting into what starts to amount to a bit ugly personal attacks on me. I hope that is unintentional. I have have never belittled your skills or competence, only argued against your points. I wished you could show me the same courtesy.
You don't really know my skills or experience but seem to make a lot of assumptions about them and center a bit much of your argument around that. Plese don't. Stick to argue against my points. Respect is a two way street Dick. Just because you have lived a long life with many accomplishments, does not mean you are absolved from showing common courtesy and respect.
