Yes, they pulled a stunt because the rule was idiotic and somebody should have stood up agains it long time ago. Too many people have a fetish about rules. Just because it is a rule doesn’t make it right. In 1939 it was illegal to hide Jews in Germany, but that didn’t make it morally wrong to break the law.

Sometimes those who enforce the laws are morally wrong, while those who break the law are morally right.
