There is a bad tendency for people to label anyone they don’t like as a sociopath without there being anything in their behavior actually matching that condition. This has hollowed out term to the point where it means nothing. It means people don’t take serious that e.g. Donald Trump checks every box of the sociopathic personality disorder. I have seen people try to label just about every politician they don’t like a sociopath. But being an asshole is not the same as being a sociopath.

Having Asperger does not prevent you from being an asshole and Elon Musk in my view very clearly has a lot of Asperger traits. It is not new however that people deny somebody the label just because they don’t like the person.

You cannot just assign people mental conditions and labels based on whatever makes the person you dislike the worst possible. And anyway being a sociopath is no different from having Asperger in the sense that nobody choose to have that condition.

The problem with Trump is not that he is a narcissist but that so many did not recognize it and that it did not disqualify him for high office.
