This is one of the most important issues of our time I think.
People will say, global warming is more important, but you can’t convince anybody of anything important if they live inside a bubble. If we don’t solve the echo chamber problem then we might not be able to solve very many other important problems whether inequality, global warming or poverty.
Personally I try to read and watch news from polar opposites. I subscribe to the Economist who is all gospel like about the free market and I read Norwegian communist newspaper called Klassekampen. The commonality between both is that while political opposites they both engage in high quality journalism.
This is a problem I see today with simply following news sources on opposite sides of the political spectrum. A lot is simple propaganda outlets and engage in emotional manipulation of their readers or viewers.
