This is why I object to all this talk about whiteness, white privilege etc. Because it centers the discussion about racism against e.g. Africa-Americans almost excluslivey on white people.

When the problem is far broader. When you follow the American debate it looks as if the only people who exist in America are whites and blacks. Yet I know whenever I visit the US, that there is an enomous variation in people from all sorts of places.

George Zimmerman who shot Trayvon Martin, clearly wasn't white, yet people desperately tried to fit the narrative into this black-white thing. It is almost as some kind of weird Axiom: If a black person was the subject of racism, then the other guy must have been white.
