Who exactly do you think I am? You seriously think Putin listens to me or care what I think? Putin is carrying out a highly illegal invasion and he will not listen to any of our pleads. A man with empathy would never have done this in the first place.

When dealing with a rabid monster you don’t start getting into a moral argument with it to get it to stop tearing its victim apart. You cannot appeal to Putin with empathy and human decency, but Putin not stupid. He must realize this is not going well, but his power and position depends on having something to show for you his invasion.

It should be perfectly possible to get him to pull out if you give him something unless he is utterly irrational.

If we could run this world on what is morally right that would be awesome, but that is not the world we live in. Ten thousand nuclear warheads means he doesn’t have to play by the normal rules.
