Yeah as much as I like to sanction Russia, I think it is stupid to impose energy sanctions which causes immense harm to ourselves. The point of sanctions is to hurt the other guy, not to make ourselves worse off.

Gas and oil are such crucial commodities that with a shortage we are in for a major economic crisis. The oil cris is the 70s cause a long list of problems.

We don't need this problem on top of fighting COIVD19 and dealing with supply chain problems.
