Yeah, culture is quite complex. So the way I see Hofstede is that it is more like useful statistics to supplement a broader analysis based on what one knows about those societies.

I basically used Hofstede to help organize and article thoughts and knowledge I already had. Like I already knew group thinking in Nordics and Asia is very different. I know from e.g. my brother having lived in Asia and me also being married into a family with Asian heritage.
