Yes, I thougth about writing about this fact, because I have seen Americans claim that without American there are these long lists of products and innovations which would not have existed.

That claim ignores the fact that around 50% of American scientists and tech startups are done by foreigners. Had America not existed these people would have done their innovation elsewhere.

Without America, would Elon Musk really not have amounted to anything? I doubt it. He may not have achieved as much, but he would certainly have made a difference anywhere he would have went.
