You are really just speaking in anecdotes here. I do agree anecdotes are useful, but they have to be supplemented by hard data.
One simple way of checking whether testing is comperhensive or not is to check the number of positives.

Reality is that the number of positives are not markedly higher in India than in the US. In fact if you look at the linked map, you cna see that the US currently has among the hightest positive rate when testing pointing to the US in fact having too little testing relative to the number of cases.
