You are victim blaming though. You spent your whole post targeting the victim while offering no criticism of the police.

Listen, this kind of of Dystopian police situation may seem normal to Americans but it is not normal to the rest of us. When we come visiting the US we risk getting into serious problem because most of us from abroad are not fully aware that the US is third world country in terms of police practices.

We have only become more aware of it has friends and aquentenaces tell stories warning you have about how batshit crazy American cops can be.

What is completely normal behavior for a driver in pretty much every other developed country when encountering a polic officer would get you shot or beaten up in the US. I think that is really messed up. I remember a New Zealand family enjoying their American trip. Cop stops them and the guy gets out of the car as is totally normal in New Zeland and not regarded dangerous anywhere else. He ended up on the pavement with a gun to his head while the kids and wife was shocked to the core.

This level of brutality against normal people in everyday situations are just unknown elsewhere. In Norway we had a citizen who ended up serving years of prison for what would have been harmless mistake over here.

A British aquentence got tackled to the ground for jaywalking while cross a street hurting himself badly. Again not something we would know about in a lot of other country. There is no word for "Jaywalking" in Norwwegian as you cannot commit a crime by cross a street. That is just absurd.

And even if it had been a thing, no police in their right mind would have tackled a guy in the middle of a street with zero traffic.

The obession with power and respect among American cops and the power trips they are often on are just straight out frightening. I gets a lot of people visiting the US afraid to visit. Fortunately a lot of us have lived in ignorant bliss for a long time.

Especially since you know that is US cops screws with you then you have zero rights. Cops in the US seems to get away with doing whatever they please.
